Conscious Box - April

Much to my excitement, I received my April Conscious Box yesterday, and of course I promptly tore into it like a maniac.  This is my first Conscious Box, though I've a good friend who has been a subscriber for a while now, so I've been familiar with the service.

Conscious Box is another monthly sampling service.  This one offers a box full of pure, natural, green, sustainable products every month.  The products are all vegetarian, and most are vegan as well.  The box is $12 with $7 shipping, and it comes packed surprisingly full of goodies!  I love Conscious Box because they offer such a variety of products - in any box, you will receive a mix of food and snacks, beauty and skincare products, cleaning products, and random lifestyle goodies. As an added bonus, they always include a ton of coupons and discount codes!

April's box was a special Earth Day box. (My birthday is on Earth Day, so it's one of my favorite holidays to celebrate!)  It came packed with fun and useful things.

I love the boxes that Conscious Box uses...and that they're printed with veggie inks!  See details of everything I got after the jump! :)

They included several little cards, including this little welcome message, which is always a nice touch.

The opposite side offered cute ideas for reusing the box!  They're a great size for storing small items.

Every month, there is a different picture in the window of the box.  I think they're so cute, and the picture is easily removable, so you can use it for other things.

I love the back of the Conscious Box that tells a little about their company and their mission.

Opening it up, I found this month's message. This is the back of the picture that shows through the window. It's a great message.

Finally, I got to the good stuff!  This card is about Earth Day and ways to celebrate it.

First, I found Oogie's Kettle Corn.  I love popcorn, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I opened it immediately and snacked on it while opening the rest of my box.  It's so good!  It's got a salty-sweet glaze on it, similar to the texture of caramel corn.  It is probably the best pre-made popcorn I've ever had, and I love that it contains zero artificial ingredients.

This is a very good sized sample of Planet Dishwashing Soap!  This is awesome for me, as I do not have a dishwasher and do my dishes by hand.  I'm excited to try out a more natural option than the norm.

Another good sized sample, Parsley Plus is an all surface cleaner that is free of ammonia and nasty chemicals.  It smells like fresh, clean herbs. Man, I love cleaning products!

This is a piece of Raw Chocolate Fudge by Cloud 9. It is organic and vegan, and while I'm not a raw foodist, it's awesome that they put this in for those that are!  This also doubles as a superfood supplement.

I so already ate this! It is a banana bar from Clandestino, and it is meant to give you an energy boost. Some people were sent the chocolate covered variety. I received the plain banana bar, and the ingredients were simply bananas.  It tasted great, just pure fresh bananas, with a texture similar to very moist banana bread.  I'm going to look into these for a work snack to keep on hand.

This is a skin repair cream from Climb On!  It contains organic shea butter, beeswax, and essential oils, and has a nice creamy texture, an snot only moisturizes but protects, and has antiseptic, analgesic, and anti-viral properties.  I think I'll use it to soothe minor ouchies.  I'm a klutz, so I get plenty of those.

I'm a huge fan of soaps, so I was excited to get a Bare Body Soaps sample!  This is in the orange patchouli scent, and it smells so good and earthy. I can't wait to try it out!

This is a little sample of a lip glaze by Natural Joy Beauty!  The color is guava, and it super pretty. It's quite pigmented and just adds a boost of color to the lips.  Love that it's smooth and there is enough for quite a few uses.

I was so excited to get the Green Apple Peel Sensitive from Juice Beauty!  I love peels, and I've been wanting to try this brand for a while.  The sample size is generous and will last.

This is Himalayan Crystal Salt.  It is to be used like regular salt, but it contains tons of minerals and a balanced ionic form for absorption.  There's plenty here, I look forward to trying it out in place of regular salt for a while!

This paint by glob is so cute!  You mix it with water to create paint. I'm not sure yet what I'll use this for, but I'm really excited to try it!

This is a conditioner packet by Sparklehearts, and I am so excited to try it.  Good green conditioners are hard to find, so if this one works well, I'll be ecstatic!

I love this little worry doll from Groovy Planet! You whisper your worries to it, then slip it under your pillow.  Groovy Planet offers an awesome educational subscription service for kids.  It teaches them about things like fair trade, recycling, and conservation and to be conscious about the world around them. Awesome!

This is generationMe laundry soap!  I work in healthcare, so I do a ton of laundry.  I love that this has no chlorine or phosphates and is safe for sensitive skin!

Finally, this is my favorite item in the box, SeedBallz.  They are little clay balls filled with wildflower and herb seeds.  They are made by developmentally disabled adults! I work with developmentally disabled children and adults, and this is a really awesome thing to support!

I received three balls.  I can't wait to plant them and see what comes up!

The box also contained a ton of coupons and discount codes!  I like every single thing in it, and Conscious Box has become one of my favorite services.  What's better than products that are great for you AND great for the environment?  I definitely recommend Conscious Box to anyone looking to live a more conscious lifestyle.

*Note:  I am a Conscious Box subscriber. I buy the boxes with my own money and all opinions are my own.

This looks awesome! I love that it's a mix of beauty, health, food, and home stuff. You get a lot of stuff, too. I think I will definitely have to try this out. $19 is a bit high per month, but you get so much and I think this looks like something it would be worth fitting in.

Yep, the price made me hesitate for a while, but when it comes down to it, finding new green products to incorporate into my life is worth it!

Yeah, the price is a bit more than I would generally pay, but after thinking it over for a couple of months I decided it's worth it - they just cover such a wide variety of products.
